2017 – Italy-Slovakia: Trade and Investment Opportunities

The fourth event takes us back to Bratislava in 2017, with the initiative "Italy-Slovakia – Trade and Investment Opportunities."

The title itself summarizes the evolution of the entire initiative.

The focus is no longer just on trade relations in the strict sense, but also on investments. The focus thus broadens to include medium- and long-term economic collaboration, the search for partners, the presence of companies in foreign markets, and the building of relationships capable of generating new opportunities.

The European context of those years made this approach particularly relevant. In 2017, the European Union emphasized the importance of stimulating growth, employment and investment and strengthening the single market and competitiveness.

For Italian SMEs, internationalization increasingly represented a concrete opportunity for growth and diversification. Italian policies of those years also explicitly aimed to increase the number of exporting companies, support access to international markets, and promote investment attraction.

In this scenario, an initiative dedicated to trade and investment opportunities between Italy and Slovakia takes on a significance that goes beyond a single event: it becomes part of a broader vision of European economic cooperation.
